Applications

FlashAtlas

This was the flagship product for a company I co-founded in 2000 called Flashmap Systems. FlashAtlas was somewhat unique at the time in that it was a web-based application that allowed users to access their organization's technology portfolio from anywhere in the world. Content was produced on-the-fly, based upon the user's permissions. A key characteristic of FlashAtlas was its visual style of navigation, which I built using Macromedia Flash. In addition to initiating the idea for this product and designing the user interface, I guided it through every stage of development, from concept to production. Customers included numerous Fortune 1000 giants, such as: Shell Oil, International Paper, Fleet Bank, Goodyear, Raytheon, Waste Management, Hewlett Packard, A&P, Exelon, and Northwestern Mutual Life.

ITatlas

ITatlas was the successor to FlashAtlas. In order to overcome inherent limitations of the original system, ITatlas had to be completely re-architected and redesigned from the ground up. One of the challenges was to transition a huge user base to a new environment and a flood of new functionality. To accomplish this I designed the interface to maintain a similar look and feel as the original, yet with far more flexibility. Customers included: Bank of America, Shell Oil, ICEX, John Lewis, Northrup Grumman, Qualcomm, Southern California Edision, FBL, and WaMu.

EA-Lite

This is an application I thought would be useful because it could function as a scaled down version of ITatlas, thereby providing smaller companies and new prospects with an easier point of entry. The look and feel is similar to the parent application. To initiate the idea I did a mockup of the entire user interface. Although I was not involved beyond the initial concept stage, this went on to become a new product called ITguide.
